Rule 128
Arrangements for festive expenses

(1) According to sub-section (1) of section 32 of the Act, the civil servant will receive festival expenses equal to one month's salary every year fifteen days before the main festival for which he wants to take the festival expenses. In this way, if the festival expenses have not been paid in the month before the festival, the previous month's salary will also be paid in writing.
(2) Except in the case of sub-rule (10) of rule 58, taking extraordinary leave and section 71A of the Act. A civil servant who has taken a leave of absence will not be entitled to festival expenses during the period of leave.
(3) The civil servants who are in service at the time of commencement of this rule and the civil servants who are appointed after the commencement of this rule, within three months from the date of their appearance, in writing to the relevant office regarding the main festival and the month in which the festival is likely to fall. Information should be given. After making such a request, the employee will not be allowed to claim expenses for another festival during his service period.
